Abstract

Our country is experiencing a very big disaster, namely the emergence of the covid-19 outbreak that easily attacks humans, because it spreads through physical contact, nose and mouth and develops in the lungs. The government has taken the decision to ask people to stay at home to break the chain of the spread of the COVID-19 virus. This pandemic has changed the rhythm of work in various fields, including in the field of education, all schools from kindergarten to university must study at home, or distance learning (PJJ). Parents who still have children in school must be substitute teachers for their children during distance learning. New challenges faced by parents, apart from assisting children in learning, parents must become substitute teachers, which makes parents find it difficult due to lack of patience in educating their children, lack of facilities and lack of firmness in assigning tasks that must be done by children. thus hampering the provision of developmental stimulation to children, especially the social emotional aspect, which is expected to provide a stimulus to children and create a pleasant atmosphere, not boring and stressful in learning. Researchers try to explore, find out what obstacles are faced by parents while being a substitute teacher for their children during distance learning (PJJ). Hopefully, after doing this research, we can provide input or solutions for parents and children so that they are not depressed while children are studying at home, so that children's social and emotional development can develop well.
