Abstract

ABSTRACT

The research aims to produce a questionnaire of motivation to read elementary school students in the upper classes of 4th, 5th and 6th grade which are tested on feasibility and validity to measure students' reading motivation. Research design is research development (research and development). Questionnaire reading motivation was developed based on John T. Guthrie's theory. Methods of data collection and analysis were conducted qualitatively and quantitatively. The results of the study are 1) Experimental review of school counselor expert and practitioners (Indonesian language teachers and school counselor) questionnaire motivation reading on good category. 2) the result of validity test of grains on the wide experiment obtained 49 valid items with reliability 0,923 including very good category.

ABSTRAK

Penelitian bertujuan menghasilkan angket motivasi membaca siswa sekolah dasar pada kelas atas yaitu kelas 4, 5 dan 6 yang teruji kelayakan dan validitas untuk mengukur motivasi membaca siswa. Desain penelitian adalah penelitian pengembangan (research and development). Angket motivasi membaca dikembangkan berdasarkan teori John T. Guthrie. Metode pengumpulan data dan analisis dilakukan secara kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian adalah 1) Penelaahan ahli BK dan praktisi (Guru Bahasa Indonesia dan BK) angket motivasi membaca pada kategori baik. 2) hasil uji validitas butir pada uji coba luas diperoleh 49 butir valid dengan reliabilitas 0,923 termasuk kategori sangat baik.
